Social responsibility
Education/research units represent an important engine of the society, contributing to its development through two important missions: education and research, to which is added social responsibility.

The “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry (ICMPP), throughout its 77-year history, has consistently supported the concept of social responsibility by encouraging:

- correct behavior;
- transparent relationships;
- integrity;
- moral/ethical principles.

Our institution carries out educational activities in the community, extending its impact beyond its gates. This includes organizing tailored lectures and scientific experiments in schools, which aim to educate and inspire young people. ICMPP also supports diligent and talented students, offering them help for chemistry national competitions; promotes science and technology, thus contributing to the educational development of young people and to the formation of a closer relationship between the “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry/the Romanian Academy and the community.

In this regard, on June 18, 2025, a training session in the particular field - "social responsibility" - was organized by the "Petru Poni" Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry.
