DOCTORAL STUDIES IN THE ROMANIAN ACADEMY

Doctoral studies in the Romanian Academy are organized according to the Law of National Education and Law no.752/2001 (Organization and operation of the Romanian Academy), to which later completions and modifications are addedd.

In the Romanian Academy the institution organizing the doctoral studies is the School of Advanced Studies of the Romanian Academy (SCOSAAR). The doctoral studies are organized on the basis of SCOSAAR Regulations, approved by the Presidium and General Assembly of the Romanian Academy.

The fundamental objective in organizing the doctoral studies in SCOSAAR is to train highly qualified specialists for academic scientific research, for tertiary education and for fields of didactic activity in universities as well as in management and administration. The SCOSAAR president is a vice-president of the Romanian Academy, nominated by the Romanian Academy President’ resolution.
