Engineering high-k dielectric materials based on copolyimides for energy-storage devices

The main objective of this research project is to obtain high-k innovative copolyimide materials with good mechanical and thermal properties, low dielectric loss and high energy-storage densities for applications as capacitive dielectrics in emerging electronic or optoelectronics (e.g. energy-storage devices). Also, the development of young human resources in this hot research topic is specifically targeted in this project.

The specific objectives of High-k-coPI are:

O1: Synthesis of monomers and copolymers

O2: Physico-chemical characterization of the copolyimides 

O3: Achieving copolymer films. Physico-chemical characterization of the films. Assessing the applicative potential
