"Transformation of the PLASTICS and MACHINE INDUSTRY into a circular economy, using a design thinking methodology"
To develop a vision for a transformed plastics value chain designed for circularity, demonstrating the benefits of reuse/recycling of plastics and maintenance, redistribution, refurbishing/remanufacturing and recycling of machines. Prototype solutions of plastics products + machine concepts designed for circularity to demonstrate the benefits of recycling/reuse/remanufacturing through innovative business cases.
Joint Strategy, Joint Action Plan
The Transnational Plan-C Action Plan (AP) serves as a distinctive strategic tool designed to communicate the benefits of circularity throughout the entire plastics value chain in the Danube region. It targets Business Support Organizations (BSOs) and policymakers across the Danube countries, aiming to contribute to the EUSDR objectives. The AP encompasses collaboratively developed recommended actions to promote the creation of sustainable and circular products. It also aims to expedite the shift towards circular business collaborations between stakeholders in the plastics value chain, specifically plastics processing companies and the machinery industry, in a format ready for implementation. To ensure the continued application of the proposed Plan-C actions beyond the project's duration, all partners will utilize the Action Plan as the foundational reference during regional uptake sessions with industry stakeholders, RIS actors, and policymakers. At the final project conference, the Action Plan will be presented to policy-level target groups to further encourage its integration into industry-related policy initiative.
