The project proposal aims to create conditions for cooperation for an efficient partnership between teams from Romania and researchers from the Republic of Moldova with a common research theme, that of bionanocomposite materials, both at the level of preparation, characterization and evaluation of the application potential in corneal regeneration, consolidating collaborations and research networks. Appropriate protocols will be developed and original bionanocomposites will be prepared and evaluated, involving natural eutectic solvents (NADES) and their complexes with kaempferol (KMP), as matrices for corneal regeneration, then they will be exploited by both partners. The collaboration proposed within this project will allow the expansion of biomaterial games and deepening studies on the role of NADES-KMP complexes and their applicability, especially in the field of corneal regeneration.
The partner institute has the necessary expertise and infrastructure to enable progress in this direction. The need and opportunity for the presented cooperation project are determined by the development of studies in a niche, little-exploited scientific direction, with the prospect of obtaining new products (formulations) with appropriate promising properties that ensure biocompatibility, transparency, mechanical properties and adhesion for cells specially created for corneal regeneration.
