Dr. Christos Trapalis is a chemical engineer, Research Director and coordinator of the “Laboratory of Nanofunctional Materials and Nanocomposites” at NCSR Demokritos, Greece. His scientific interests focus on nanoscience and nanotechnology, carbon-based materials, 2D heterostructures, nanostructured powders and coatings, visible light-activated photocatalysts for NOx removal, water splitting, solar fuels and CO₂ conversion to nanocarbon. In the last 15 years, Christos Trapalis has participated in over 20 research programs. He is a reviewer for over 50 scientific journals and is the author of over 160 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with over 9,000 citations. He also holds 6 patents, an h-index of 53.
