The project is based on the very unique and perfectly matching experience and on the most recent findings of the three collaborating groups, which have the same objective, complementary skills and have made significant discoveries in the field of the chemistry of antimicrobial compounds:
the Polish group has shown how metals can enhance the antimicrobial mode of action of AMPs by modifying their local charge, structure and/or morphology; the Swiss PI is an expert in antimicrobial rhenium complexes, and the Romanian group can make the antimicrobial micro/nanocarriers for the combined rhenium-AMP complexes. |
