About Objectives Results Dissemination Team Contact

The aim of the PhotoActComp project is to develop a complex photoactive composites based on photosensitized ZnO NPs embedded in a hydrogel matrix, chemically cross-linked and additionally reinforced using the cryogelation approach for pesticide photodegradation in wastewater.

Specific objectives:

O1. Synthesis and characterization of photosensitized catalyst based on ZnO NPs and xanthene.

O2. Synthesis of photocatalytic conjugates by incorporation of sensitized photocatalyst in the polymeric matrices based on xanthan and polyvinyl alcohol.

O3.  Photophysical and photochemical investigation of the photoactive composite.

O4. Training of team members and dissemination of results.
