Non-biased fluorescent dyes as markers of drugs for optical in cellulo and in vivo imaging

Main goals of the project include:

1.       Design and synthesis of novel fluorescent dyes with optimized polarity and charge.

2.       Testing the dyes in drug conjugates to ensure they do not influence drug behavior.

3.       Monitoring drug distribution in cells (in vitro) and in living organisms (in vivo).

4.       Applying the dyes to study:

o    Anticancer prodrugs

o    Peptides targeting Alzheimer’s disease

o    Biomolecule binders such as nucleopeptides and lectins.
