ABOUT MultiPodGaN project

The general objective of the project is to attract specialists from abroad with advanced skills to open and develop a new direction of research and a research group of excellence in gallium nitride nano- and micro-architectures (GaN), with the aim of producing hybrid materials suitable for making elements of detection in smart sensors. The desired properties will be obtained by reducing the dimensions of hollow aero-GaN tetrapods, fabricated by direct epitaxial growth of GaN on templates sacrificial ones consisting of ZnO micro- or nano-tetrapods. Aero-GaN hollow tetrapods thus obtained will later be functionalized with macromolecules (synthetic amphiphilic polymers) or biomacromolecules (DNA, proteins or peptides) and investigated for the controlled formation of programmed ensembles.
