Description:

The proposed topic continues the researches in the field of photopolymers, preponderantly approached of a part of the team members, in order to valorize the experience obtained in the monomers synthesis with complex structures capable to form polymeric architectures and composite materials with controllable properties intended for advanced applications (optic, photonic, microlithography, biology, medicine).

 

Project objectives:

General objectiv :

To increase the international vizibility of the involved team through an increase of the number of papers published in international journals with high impact index and the formation of young specialists in organic synthesis with applications in the polymer chemistry and hybrid composites.

 

Phase 1/2007:

1. Main scientific objectives:

  • design and synthesis of new photopolymers and hybrid composites with photoactive groups
  • investigation of some polymers with controlled topography and molecular weight, content of predicted chromophore moieties in interactions with UV/laser radiation
  • establish of structure-physico-chemical properties correlations, photochemical/ photopysical behavior
  • perspective of applications in topics (photochrome/photoluminescent materials, microoptic elements, chemosensors, etc).

 

2. Results:

 - 1 paper published in international journal with high impact index (L1: 2.113) and 2 papers published in volum (national meetings, L2, L3)

- 1 oral comunication (L4) at the European Congress of Chemistry (drd. Hahui Lenuta) and 4 oral communications (L5, L6, L7) at national scientific meetings (drd. Hahui Lenuta; Mirela Zamfir)

- 2 poster communications (L9, L10) at international scientific meetings (drd. Hahui Lenuta; Mirela Zamfir)

  1. Photochemical and photophysical behavior in the presence of surfactants, investigation of the photochemical species nature and the formation of aggregates, etc;
  2. Obtaining hybrid composites by polymerization of the acrylic monomers in organosilicates or in sol-gel processes; Structural studies.
