WELCOME

The project CROSS-MAT proposes the synthesis of new supramolecular networks based on insulated and/or conjugated polymers obtained by cross-linking reactions of hydroxyl groups from the cyclodextrins cavities. The particularity of these supramolecular architectures consists in the presence of free mobile junctions that under a stretching stimulus behave like pulleys, diminishing the internal stress of the material. As result the flexibility of the system increases, thus these supramolecular assemblies exhibit superior mechanical properties, which acquire interesting properties for their applications. The investigation of these supramolecular complexes can bring supplementary information regarding their applicability in optoelectronics and the original results will contribute to increase both the national and international visibility of the research group.
